What Do We Do?

Autism Mustang Alliance is about connecting with people and animals – we call it “equine-assisted community-building for families affected by autism.”

I have worked hard to better my horsemanship skills and build a trusting relationship with our horses, but it dawned on me last year that Ben naturally does things that I really struggle to do around the horses:

  1. Stay in the present moment without an agenda.
  2. Be open and curious.
  3. Be authentic and congruent.

What a huge lesson this has been for me….hence, the inspiration for this program. Being with these animals in a natural setting gives a sense of grounded-ness, and interacting with them provides insight to one’s own sense of self. We look forward to sharing this joy with you!
