Mustang Retreat House

We are offering an overnight stay at our soon-to-be remodeled Mustang Retreat House, a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom country house in Mulino Oregon, just 10 miles south of Oregon City.

We are excited to test this new model, as we aim to provide the supports needed so our nonspeaking residents can run their own retreat and collectively decide on daily activities.

We will start small with just one day a week – we will meet Tuesdays at 4pm and depart on Wednesdays at 11am. Maximum four nonspeakers and their support people. We will have our program director running the activities and also provide one overnight house manager; each participant must provide their own support person/CP/DSP. The first retreat will be offered June 23-24, and run each Tuesday-Wednesday through the end of summer.

We will provide dinner on Tuesday and breakfast on Wednesday morning. Please bring preferred snacks and drinks. For this pilot launch of what we hope will turn into a full-time retreat house, we are offering everyone to “pay-what-you-can” this year, and ask that families reciprocate in the following ways:

  1. Do an overnight shift
  2. Provide breakfast, dinner and/or cooking lessons
  3. Plan and lead daytime activities such as field trips, yoga classes, trail walks, crafting or art projects, wilderness/wildlife studies
  4. Help with housekeeping of common areas
  5. Gardening and landscaping
  6. Provide academic lessons with topics of interest to residents
  7. Fundraising for meals

Thank you for your interest!  Please contact us if you wish to join our retreat program.
