Alex’s Wrangler Camp – Summer 2026 dates announced soon!

One of our favorite AMA campers, Alex Ripplinger, remains in our hearts as an incredibly caring, inspirational young man who loved animals and helping out his fellow humans however he could.

We at AMA are deeply honored to have known Alex, and are excited to have renamed our annual summer camp “Alex’s Wrangler Camp” so we can continue to learn from Alex and remember the most important things in life – to do what we love, laugh with others, work hard and eat well. Alex truly excelled in all of these areas!!

Camp includes 3 days and two nights of camping, all meals and snacks, equine classes, forest trail walks with goats and pigs, bird watching, making bird houses (one of Alex’s hobbies!), creek time and water play, deep-space star gazing, camp fires, art projects, soap making, blueberry and blackberry picking with jam making, t-shirts, camp swag and more!!

Alex’s Wrangler Camp is open to individuals and their families with autism, Down Syndrome, and those with other developmental disabilities. Our ranch is not 100% ADA-accessible, so please inquire if you have mobility needs.

We encourage and welcome our nonspeaking and minimally-speaking friends to come to camp – while we do have camp staff who are trained in AAC, we invite all campers to participate along with their caregivers, communication partners, and/or support people.

While this is not a respite care camp, we promise to deliver an experience where all parties will come away inspired and rejuvenated!
